Day 2: A full day in Queen Elizabeth NP exploring wildlife in the savanna plains  A delicious breakfast early morning and after, exit your lodge as early as 6:00am for a game drive. Starting your day with a morning game drive allows you to catch up with early risers along Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth Park. Expected sightings for the day through Kasenyi game track include spotted hyenas, lions, bush elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, bushbucks, waterbucks, leopards, and many birds including bustards.  From the Kasenyi plain game drive, return for a leisurely lunch and later, go experience the best of Kazinga channel launch cruise. Day 3: From Queen Elizabeth Park to Bwindi via Ishasha  At leisure, enjoy a hefty breakfast and after, begin your journey to Bwindi National Park, a premier gorilla park located in Southwestern Uganda. A short game drive break will be held at Ishasha sector, a renowned area for spotting the tree climbing lions and several topis at Queen Elizabeth NP. You will also have the best of a bush lunch and later, continue to Bwindi. Accommodation

Day 4: Gorilla trekking with a guide from Bwindi NP, Batwa cultural experience in the afternoon Have a cup of tea/coffee and after, exit your comfortable lodge for a briefing to be conducted at the park offices by park officials. The morning briefing provides insight into safety guidelines for gorilla trekking and officials use this period to allocate guests to gorilla families/groups and park guides. By 8:00am, your actual search for mountain gorillas begins with the lead of an experienced Bwindi National Park guide.  This thrilling adventure may last you between 2 and 6 hours inclusive of an hour of up close and personal with a family of endangered mountain gorillas. Take pictures of the massive silverback and its family members then begin returning to the lodge for relaxation.  Later in the evening/afternoon, you will have a good time at Batwa community. Day 5: Depart Bwindi for Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri Rwanda  Following a hefty breakfast, you will set off from your gorilla lodge in Bwindi to Volcanoes NP located in the Ruhengeri area of Rwanda. Access to Rwanda will be via Katuna or Chanika border, then you proceed to the park to check in at your respective pre-booked lodges.  Accommodation

Day 6: Go visit Rwanda golden monkeys & Iby’Iwacu cultural village tour  Join the rest of the visitors for a briefing at Kinigi offices to have insight into safety measures for golden monkey tracking. The park guide will accompany you on actual search for golden monkeys beginning at 8:00am and the entire trek runs for 2-5 hours inclusive of an hour of up close and personal with a troop of these rare primates in the wild.  After spending a good time exploring the different behaviors of golden monkeys, get back to the lodge for a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, you will be leaving the lodge once again and this time round, you will be taking part in a thrilling cultural experience at Iby’Iwacu cultural village. Accommodation

Day 7: Volcanoes NP-Nyungwe N/Park for chimpanzee encounters After breakfast, you will be picked up by a driver guide ready for your road trip to Nyungwe Forest NP. Nyungwe is one of Rwanda's leading primate destinations, home to red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, owl-faced monkeys, Rwenzori colobus monkeys, Dent’s Mona monkeys, silver monkeys, olive baboons and l’hoest monkeys, etc. Settle for a leisurely lunch and after, proceed with an afternoon canopy walk through a suspended canopy walkway set 60m from the forest floor. Day 8: Chimpanzee trek Nyungwe & depart for Kigali Report to Uwinka reception very early for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking guidelines and for the official at the park to assign you the park guide. You will have a deep understanding of how chimpanzees behave and the opportunity to take pictures. As you trek through the rainforest of Nyungwe NP, do not forget to keep eyes on other primates and birds.  On returning from Nyungwe Forest, you will be offered lunch and later check out of the lodge. Day 2: Full day of exploring & experiences unique cultures in Buganda Depart from your hotel facility in Kampala with a local cultural safari guide ready for a full-day cultural expedition. Today’s cultural excursion brings you a comprehensive hand-on experience where you will actively engage in food preparation. Your day begins with the very first stage of harvesting the Matooke from the garden with locals, bringing it to be peeled, baking it using fibers, and mashed it.  At every stage of preparing your meal, you will have the local expert directing you on what and how to do it. What you prepare for the day is what you will enjoy as your lunch and often Matooke is served with stews, especially chicken, meat, groundnut prepared in the form of Luwombo –the commonest delicacy in Buganda Uganda. Today’s first session will take you up to 4 hours then you have lunch break, refreshments and relaxation.  After, head off to the Kabaka’s Palace to unearth the unique history and customs of Buganda Kingdom. From your visit to the Kabaka’s palace, proceed to Ndere Cultural Centre to enjoy the vibrant traditional and cultural dances and music performance that showcase Uganda’s distinct cultures and traditions. Day 3: A cultural road trip to Mbale After breakfast, set off for Mbale driving through the Kampala-Jinja highway. En-route, branch off to Ssezibwa Falls to explore Buganda’s rich cultural heritage linked to this site. From Ssezibwa, continue on a scenic drive via the lush Mabira Forest, sugarcane plantations and the new bridge crossing the Nile River in Jinja. You may take a break and visit Busoga King’s palace to explore the distinct cultures of Busoga then make the final journey to Mbale.  Accommodation

Day 4: Imbalu cultural experience  Wake up early in the morning, enjoy your delicious breakfast and after, you will experience the best of Bagisu cultural experiences. Day 6: Mt. Moroto & Tepeth tribe trek Early in the morning, you will embark on a guided hike around Mount Moroto. The hike includes a visit to the Tepeth tribe around the Moroto Mountain slopes. The remarkable bit about the Tepeth tribe is that they share a lot with the Maasai of Kenya. They stay in conical mud and wattle huts. Accommodation

Day 7: Moroto-Gulu, visit Fort Patiko  Enjoy a hefty breakfast and later, set off from Moroto to Gulu city. At Gulu, arrive early and you will pay a visit to Fort Patiko, also most popular as Baker’s Fort, dating back to 1872. Day 8: Gulu to Hoima  From Gulu, we embark on a journey to Hoima oil city. At Hoima, expect to get enriched with the unique cultures and distinct heritage of the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom. 8 DAYS MOUNT RWENZORI HIKE

Mountaineering expedition is perfect for enthusiastic adventure seekers who desire to conquer the great heights of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges in Kasese, Western Uganda. A hike to the Margherita peak is 100% the most exhilarating experience and a lifetime opportunity to get on a great adventure challenge. Rwenzori Mountain ranges comprise Mt. Stanley (5109m), Gessi (4715m), Baker (4844m), Speke (4890m), Emin (4798m) and Luigi di Savoia (4627m).  Detailed Itinerary  Day 01: Transfer to Kasese from Kampala Pick up early in the morning at the hotel in Kampala and drive up to Kasese to retire for a night awaiting your mountaineering expedition the following day. It will be 6-7 hours’ drive to get to Kasese with an en-route lunch break to be made at Fort Portal tourism city.  Accommodation

Day 02: Nyakalengija –Nyabitaba Hut with an expert Set off for your actual trek full of remarkable memories and your journey begins at Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba Hut. First, you will have a briefing at 1648m and at 8:00am, start trekking via the foothills of Rwenzori Mountains navigating further via River Mubuku and bamboo forests, rocks and bluffs. The other area to cross over will be the Mahoma River and you head on a steep hike via fern slope dominated area and podocarpus forest then finally get to Nyabitaba Hut (2651m). What to expect to see along the way while on this path; colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and birds like the Rwenzori turacos. Day 03: John Matte Hut  With an experienced guide, proceed with your trek to John Matte Hut at 3503m. Go via the lush forest till you get to Kurt Shafer Bridge which is found below the confluence point for River Mubuku and Bujuku. Stay strong as you go further via the bamboo forest, slippery moss till you reach Nyamileju rock shelter and at this point, you can view Mt. Stanley and Speke. Head to John Matte Hut for relaxation and at leisure enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Margherita glaciers.   Day 04: Slope down to Bujuku Hut  A cup of tea or coffee and after, set off from John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut navigating across the Bujuku River and upper bigo bog. Lunch break will be enjoyed at the scenic narrow stream overviewing Baker and Stanley Mountain peaks as well as Mt Speke. Day 05: Descend further to Kitandara  Exit Bujuku hut for Kitandara navigating via the stunning Groundsels Gully which ascends to Scott-Elliot pass (4372m). The steepest part of this trail may involve hiking via a short ladder to Elena hut (4430m) then proceed further to Mt Stanley. At base camp, get a clear view of the Margherita peak.  Day 06: Complete the trek to the Margherita  It is a great day as you make it up to the final summit of Rwenzori Mountains; explore the Margherita peak at 5109m. At the summits, experience the glaciers and take photos then begin descending to Scott Elliot pass while enjoying the best views of the area till you reach Kitandara Hut for a leisurely dinner and overnight stay. Day 07: Descend to Guy Yeoman Hut  Depart from Kitandara Hut for Guy Yeoman Hut taking a steep ascent to the headwall till you reach Fresh Field pass then descend via the muddy path to rock shelter at Bujongola. At this point, you will find the base camp for the historic Duke of Abruzzi in 1906 and you can enjoy an excellent view of Congo plus Stanley Mountain. After the great views, retire for the night at the hut at elevation 3260m. Day 08: Descend to Nyakalengija, transfer to Kampala  Enjoy a delicious breakfast and after, make the final descent to the base of the mountain in 3 hours. At Nyakalengija, catch up with your driver guide ready for a return trip to Kampala capital city and this marks the end of an 8 days hike to the Rwenzori Mountains.  End of safari Inclusions

6 DAYS MOUNT ELGON AND SIPI FROM KAMPALA

Embark on a journey to conquer the great heights of Mount Elgon 4321m. This thrilling volcano climbing to Wagagai peak combines the Sipi Falls walk. The 6 days Mount Elgon and Sipi tour involves exploring Mt Elgon, its surrounding and comes with amazing visits to iconic tourist sites along the Eastern circuit.  Elgon Volcano is where Mount Elgon National Park derives its name from. This park is where one of the world’s oldest and extinct volcanoes –Mount Elgon is found. At the slopes of Elgon Mountain, there are several small antelope families, elephants, primates, and over 300 bird species which include the lammergeyer and sunbirds. Detailed Itinerary  Day 1: Kampala-Mbale  Get to meet your safari leader in Uganda and start your journey along Kampala-Jinja-Mbale route. Today’s journey includes a stopover at Ssezibwa waterfalls and after, you will proceed on a scenic drive through Mabira Forest, Jinja and do not miss the stunning views of the Source of the Nile as you cross the new bridge. Continue up to Mbale where you will have a night stay in one of the best hotels in Mbale city preferably Mbale Resort Hotel/ Day 2: Depart from Budadiri for Sasa Camp, 2900m Set off from Budadiri 1250m just next to Mbale city and gate of Mount Elgon National Park. Find the guides and porters, get briefed then with your gear and food, proceed on a rewarding walk up to the elevation of 2900m. Today’s trek will cover between 7 and 8 hours. Day 3: To Mude Camp (3500m) Leave Sasa Camp after a cup of tea or coffee and head off to Mude cave via a lush forest. This will cover 4 to 5 hours to get to the camp for relaxation and a leisurely dinner. Day 4: Conquer Wagagai peak & walk back to Mude This day is dedicated for you to reach the highest peak of Mount Elgon 4321m navigating via the moorland zone. Upon getting at Wagagai peak, take pictures and after, begin returning to Mude campsite. Day 5: Descend up to Budadiri, Sipi Falls Start your day trek back to Budadiri after having a delicious breakfast. From Budadiri, proceed to the spectacular Sipi Falls –series of 3 scenic waterfalls located along the Northwestern slopes of Mount Elgon. Relax and retire for the night at Lacam Lodge/Sipi Lodge. Day 6: Sipi to Kampala  Go hiking to the triple Sipi falls with an experienced guide. These stunning waterfalls lie at varying elevations of 100m, 65 and 85m. 5 DAYS KIDEPO WILDLIFE SAFARI

Kidepo Valley National Park offers true African wilderness experience and the 5 days Uganda safari allows you to explore all the 2 main game tracks that are Narus Valley and Kidepo Valley. The 5-day trip takes you on a memorable game drive and cultural experience at the Karamojong Manyatta.  Kidepo is Uganda’s 3rd largest park extending up to 1442 sq.km. The park supports varied wildlife species including elands, spotted hyenas, zebras, elephants, bush pigs, lions, oribis, side-backed jackals, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild giraffes, dik-dik, cheetahs, caracals, aardwolf and reedbucks, etc.  Over 475 species of birds also call this park home and include Kori bustard, ostriches, Abyssinian ground hornbills, red-throated bee-eaters, secretary bird, verreaux’s eagle, pygmy falcons, Egyptian vultures and a lot more. Day 2: Game drive through Narus Valley  Have breakfast at your safari lodge or camp and after, begin your day game viewing in the morning. Catch up with Kidepo Valley National Park’s abundant wildlife, especially early risers. Day 4: Cultural encounters (IK and Karamojong) After breakfast, you will embark on a guided community walk and first, you will pay a visit to the IK people on Mount Morungole. This involves hiking to the top about 2750m –the highest point of Kidepo NP. Find the IK people at the summit and spend good time exploring more about their traditions, cultures and then return to the lodge. Chimpanzee Trekking Safaris

Chimpanzee trekking is another exciting activity that involves sighting one of the world’s rarest primates. Uganda offers basically three amazing Chimpanzee trekking spots namely Kibale national park, Budongo forest, Kalinzu forest and Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Kibale forest National Park

The high-density thick forests of Kibale have the highest concentration of chimpanzees in the country with a total of 1500 individuals. Chimpanzees are tracked twice a day in the park where the morning shift starts at 8:00am and the afternoon session at 2:00pm.

The morning chimpanzee trekking session is better and busier than the afternoon and chances of spotting at the chimpanzees is at 90% while in this national park.

Budongo Forest.

While in one of the most visited parks, visitors get to gaze at these amazing creatures while they flock Budongo forest reserve. The epic waterfall-based park has a chance of 80% of viewing these wondrous primates after trekking for about one hour.

Budongo forest reserve allows visitors to enjoy chimpanzees for 1 full hour or more hours (4) if you engage in a chimpanzee habituation experience.

Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kyambura Gorge also boast of these amazing apes even though there are only 17 individuals in the forest. Kyambura, also known as the valley of apes offers over 80% chance of spotting chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda

In Rwanda, chimpanzee trekking is done in Nyungwe National Park in its prestigious lush vegetation of Cyamudongo and Uwinka forests. Each of the forests has a chimpanzee family with about 40 members that visitors can sight.

Hiking Mount. Kilimanjaro

Hiking mountain Kilimanjaro is a premium kind of hike because this mountain is the highest in Africa with about 5,895m above the ground.
